This week’s 3D Challenge: Gift Tags! So whether you’re on Stampin’ Connection, or were just looking for a fun challenge, feel free to join in! Here are mine: Scraps of Advice: What do you think about those background papers? Awesome, yeah? Those are from the new Presto Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack in the Summer Mini (I told you there would be more sneak peeks!). Each sheet has a special design that is revealed when you apply ink to the paper using a brayer or some sponges. I sponged on some Old Olive ink to bring out the different patterns for my gift tags. What’s even better is each design has a vintage feel, making this DSP tie in perfectly with the Elements of Style stamp set that I used! The little flowers on my green and gray tag were punched out using one of the Itty Bitty...

Island Floral Bigz Die Flower

Since my Sneak Peek Week post featuring all of that island-themed product, I’ve had several inquiries regarding how to create the Pumpkin Pie flower using the Island Floral Bigz Die from the Summer Mini. So I’ve created a quick little tutorial to share how I made that fun flower. For those of you who aren’t demos and don’t yet have this die, just bookmark this post for your reference later should you purchase that die! Or try this out using a smaller 5-petal flower die cut or punch if you have one. For this project, you will need: Paper: One sheet of cardstock in the color that you want your flower to be, and two 1-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ pieces of a green cardstock for the leaves Tools: Island Floral Bigz Die (2010 Summer Mini), Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Standard Cutting Pads, Paper Snips, Paper Piercing Tool, Sticky Strip,...

It is my final day of Sneak Peek Week, and I have saved the brightest sneak peek for last. How fun is all this? Everything you see here is part of Stampin’ Up!’s Summer Entertaining Collection in the Summer Mini. And everything is bright, fun, and screams summer! Open up the card for a special summer celebration invitation Okay, so it’s not a real invitation, but it could be Scraps of Advice: The Tropical Party stamp set and Island Oasis Designer Series Paper are the perfect companions for creating some summertime stationery. The island theme is perfect for that summer luau! Palm trees, coconuts, and tropical flowers are what you’ll find in the Tropical Party stamp set. I used all 5 stamps on my invitation, and I just love how they all come together perfectly! Don’t you just love that coconut cup on the front? Too cute! In addition...

Itty Bitty Bits

Today’s sneak peek is a look at a super cute set called Itty Bitty Bits. I wanted to use this set on a card, but I’ve had this Simply Adorned 5/8″ Square Charm lying around for about a month now and the images from the Itty Bitty Bits set are the perfect size to create some simple and cute inserts for my charm. Scraps of Advice: You can always count on Stampin’ Up! to offer accessories and embellishments to match their fabulous stamp sets, including the Itty Bitty Bits set. In the Summer Mini, you’ll find the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack that includes three punches which you can use to punch out some of the images from the Itty Bitty Bits set. Wedding Wednesday: Wedding Suite Style

You may have seen a few samples using the Elements of Style set from the Summer Mini. A few demonstrators were given that stamp set months ago as a special surprise from Stampin’ Up! Well, I finally have that set in my hands and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it as soon as it arrived…Wedding Invitation! I know, I know, this isn’t a complete invitation set. Trust me, I tried to create a complete suite with response card and inserts and all. But I was having computer difficulties and it took me way too long just to print the invitation correctly (it had to do with margins and the printer wanting to scale things down when it printed…long story…). So by the time I finally got around to actually putting my invitation together, I found out that I had done some measurements in my head...
