Wedding Wednesday 13: Happy Tears
Weddings are an emotional event. There are so many feelings going through the minds of people in attendance. The bride is nervous, excited, happy and maybe a little stressed. The groom can’t wait to see his bride walk down the aisle, and probably just wants all the wedding drama to be done already :p Emotions run high for everyone. Maybe more so for the bride and the parents, but everyone gets just a little bit emotional during a wedding. And sometimes those emotions can lead to those wonderful happy tears of joy. This Wedding Wednesday is all about those happy tears.
Sorry for the mediocre pictures in today’s post. I’m experimenting with different settings for my photos and playing with my camera settings, too. These didn’t come out so great this time. But I’ll keep practicing. Anyways, I got the idea for this project from a wedding program I saw in an issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. Can you guess what’s inside these cute little boxes?
They hold tissues! The program that I saw in the magazine had a cute little paper envelope attached to the front of the program, with a little tissue tucked inside the envelope. I just thought, “That’s genius! Such a cute little touch for the wedding guests!” So I took the idea and ran with it. But instead of just a little envelope for the tissue, I created these adorable mini tissue boxes. Each box holds two tissues and are the perfect little touch for your more emotional guests.
Here’s a closer look at my favorite tissue box.
These mini tissue boxes are easy to make, and easy to customize so that they coordinate with your wedding. And you wouldn’t have to make too many of these for your wedding (unless every singe one of your guests has the tendency to tear up during happy occasions), so you can easily make enough for your ceremony. If you would like to see a tutorial on how to create these Happy Tears Tissue Boxes, just leave me a comment and let me know! If I get enough requests, then I will post a tutorial in the coming weeks.
If you aren’t the DIY type of person, you can look for these Happy Tears Tissue Boxes on my Etsy store soon! Or just fill out the form on my Contact Page to inquire about ordering some custom tissue boxes for your wedding.
I hope you enjoyed today’s Wedding Wednesday project! Make sure to leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
