Mostly Vintage Monogram Minis

Welcome to Day 2 of my Sneak Peek Week for the 2010 Summer Mini! Today’s project is a fun 3D project and is also going to be my latest 3D Challenge for my fellow demonstrators over at Stampin’ Connection. I will be challenging them to create and decorate a small box to fit some 3×3 mini note cards. Here is the box I created using quite a few products from the Summer Mini:

And of course, I had to create some cute coordinating mini cards to go inside the box, too!

Scraps of Advice:

  • These monogram minis bring together FOUR amazing new products from Stampin’ Up!’s Summer Mini: Rough Type stamp set, Mini Vintage Tags, Mostly Vintage Decor Stencil, and some Gold Glow Smooch Spritz.
  • If you love the vintage look, you will love the new Summer Mini! They have so many fabulous new items to help you create that vintage feel on all of your projects. The Rough Type stamp set has that perfect antique typewriter look and each letter fits perfectly onto the new Mini Vintage Tags. To see the complete Rough Type set, check out the digital version of the stamp set that you can buy for My Digital Studio, available now! Just Click Here and visit my MDS New Digital Downloads Page.
  • For a little added design, I used the new Mostly Vintage Decor Stencil and sponged a small portion of the design using Creamy Caramel ink on some Creamy Caramel cardstock. Just for kicks, I spritzed each Creamy Caramel cardstock piece with some Gold Glow Smooch Spritz. It gives them a nice gold shimmer, but not a shimmer I can easily capture with my camera :( But trust me, in person the shimmer is really gorgeous.
  • So I bought a paper crimper back in November and for some reason I haven’t used it once until now. Haha. Don’t ask me why it took me so long to use such an amazing tool, but I can guarantee it won’t go so long without being used ever again! I love that thing! And some crimping was the perfect touch of texture for this set. Some Chocolate Chip sponged randomly onto my crimped panels adds that aged look for a vintage feel.
  • If you want to make your own 3×3 note card box, you can find some instructions for a basic box over at Splitcoast Stampers with Laurie’s Tutorial.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Sneak Peek look at four new products from the Summer Mini. Be back tomorrow for a Wedding Wednesday Sneak Peek!

Great project! These would make an excellent gift. I have a crimper that I don’t think I have used either. You have inspired me to dust it off.

I love it! It may inspire me to buy the alphabet stamp set, though I have several that I don’t utilize. But I love how you used it with the tags!
