Back to the Blogging World!

Oh my wow…It has been such a long time since I’ve kept a blog. But after talking with my sister-in-law (you may know her as baglady) and reading her blogs, I have been inspired to once again become a part of the blogging community. Hence my new blog, “Scraps of Life”.

I named my blog “Scraps of Life” for a plethora of reasons. The main reason is that I want this blog to be a reflection of many different parts of my life. I want to go beyond just daily activities and write about other things such as spiritual, relational, or (should I have the nerve) even political topics/issues, offering my insight and advice for various areas of life. But I will definitely be writing about just the everyday things as well, because there are too many funny things in life to keep them to myself.

Another reason for the name of my blog is that “Scraps of Life” will also be the name of a scrapbooking/papercrafting business that I hope to start in the near future. You’ll definitely be reading more about that aspect of my life as things progress and I build a firmer foundation for my business. As for right now, all I’ve got is a name, some scrapbooking supplies, and tons of ideas just waiting to come to life. But hey, I have to start somewhere, right?

I have to say that I am very excited about this new blog. For me, this is a fresh start, a new chance to share my life with the world. And who knows, maybe a chance to change the world a little bit. I’ve always loved writing and journaling, and I’m excited to be able to share my thoughts and bits of my life with a new audience. Not to mention this will be a great boredom buster during my very long days at work. Text Twist on games.com can only take you so far! But I think this first post is a good start for me. I’ve still got lots to learn with this particular blog in terms of editing the appearance and what not, but I’ll just keep writing while I learn to give this blog the look and feel that reflects my “Scraps of Life”.
